1st Ladakh AgriTech Mela begins in Leh

The very first Ladakh AgriTech Mela started out by having an inaugural function put by STI HUB Ladakh for collaboration with LAHDC Leh, CSIR IMTECH Chandigarh and NIELIT Leh on August 10.

Thetheme of this year ‘s AgriTech Mela 2022 is Innovative Farming. Even more than 50 stalls pertaining to the exhibitors from the Cultivation Departments, Agri Industry, Startups, Exploration Institutions, MSMEs, NGOs, Self Support Groups( SHGs), Progressive Farmers, and Local Vendors.

Lt. Governor, Ladakh, RK Mathur attended the initial function practically as the primary guest whereas the guests from honours were Dy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, EC Cultivation, Stanzin Chosphel, EC RDD Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Principal Secretary Heath, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Commissioner Admin Skill Development, Padma Angmo, Admin Agriculture, Ravinder Kumar, DC Leh Shrikant Suse and Director CSIR IMTECH Chandigarh, Sanjeev Ghosla.

Earlier, the officials inaugurated Scientific research, Technology, and Innovation( STI) HEART at the job of NIELIT Leh. The STI Hub is a collaborative project by CSIR IMTECH Chandigarh, PGIMER Chandigarh and NIELIT Leh to facilitate financial creation by supporting and nurturing small innovators to ascertain small, medium business enterprises.

EC Agriculture, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chosphel highlighted the need for conducting such a great revolutionary fair for the developing farmers of Ladakh. He stated that could be it is an option for the farmers, young business people and students as well while the community to participate for sharing revolutionary knowledge on some single platform. He stressed the value of utilising modern working day technologies for agricultural practices for Ladakh while highlighting the achievements story of Ladakh Green Property.

He urged local farmers to visit all the stalls with the exhibition site and make the most from this AgriTech Great in Leh.

LG Mathur dealt with the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all or any the stakeholders engaged in conducting the first Ladakh AgriTech Mela.

Secy Agriculture, Ravinder Kumar, and Director CSIR IMTECH Chandigarh, Sanjeev Ghosla also tackled the gathering.

DG NIELIT, Doctor. MM Tripathi addressed the party practically and expressed gratitude to the LAHDC Leh plus the LACE Administration, Ladakh for their support in conducting the AgriTech Mela.

Skillfully developed, Scientists from around the nation, HoDs of Culture and its Line Departments, Officers of NIELIT, STI HUB& CSIR IMTECH, head in research Institutes of Leh, and a big number of modern farmers along with students joined the inaugural event today. Most the local collaborators of the event were felicitated in the end .
