Empowering Voter Engagement: Chief Electoral Officer Leads Outreach in Ladakh Ahead of General Elections 2024

In a concerted effort to bolster voter awareness and mobilize participation for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Chief Electoral Officer Yetindra M. Maralkar embarked on a visit to Sakti Village in the Kharu Sub-Division of Leh on May 16.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from the village Nambardar and Goba, accompanied by lamas from Chemdey Monastery, students from Government Model School, Sakti (Serthi), and residents, who greeted CEO Yetinder Maralkar and officers with traditional khataqs.

Addressing the gathering, CEO Yetinder M. Maralkar emphasized the crucial role of active participation in the electoral process and urged all eligible voters to cast their ballots on May 20. “Every vote shapes the future of our region and nation. The team visited prominent monasteries in the region, including Spituk, Phyang, and Likir Monasteries, to raise awareness about voter participation in the upcoming General Elections 2024.
