Kargil District Hospital gets 500 LPM of oxygen

CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan inaugurated a 500 LPM Air Plant installed beneath the CSR& SD initiative of NHPC Limited at District Hospital Kargil on July 26.

Executive Councilor, Aga Syed Mehdi Fazili, Bikram Singh, Group General Manager of NHPC, CMO Kargil, Dr. Munwar Hussain Wazir, Medical Superintendent, DH Kargil, Dr. Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan besides other concerned officials were present on the occasion.

CEC Khan said that the need for oxygen facilities was sensed during the Covid 20 pandemic and so far every Community Health Centre( CHC) in Kargil has now an air facility available. He also said that a healthcare facility at Kurbathang has already an air facility available. He said that oxygen facilities will ease the public in particular and the patients and will help deal with critical patients during emergencies.

CEC on behalf of the government of LAHDC, Kargil thanked NHPC in making the oxygen plant useful.

Bikram Singh, Group General Administrator stated that NHPC along with electricity generation is doing many wellbeing works under CSR and the oxygen plant has been installed under the same. He thanked CEC Kargil and DC Kargil for their support from time to time in installing the oxygen plant. Singh said that they will continue its wellbeing works under CSR in the Kargil district.

He also up to date that NHPC has recently installed a 500 LPM oxygen plant at CHC Sankoo that has been earlier inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh RK Mathur.
