New Public Library Enhances Educational Opportunities in Tungri Thang

Executive Councilor Phunchok Tashi officially opened a new public library at Tungri Thang in Karsha Block on July 18th. The library, built and funded by the Rural Development Department, aims to provide educational support to local residents, particularly offering books for competitive exams. This initiative marks a significant effort to promote literacy and learning within the community.

Also present at the inauguration ceremony were Agriculture Officer Tsering Norboo, Block Development Officer Tsewang Rigzin from Karsha, along with community members and students from Tungri, Tahan, and Shamuling.

Councilor Tashi praised the project, emphasizing its importance in advancing education and knowledge-sharing in Tungri Thang. The library houses a diverse collection of books tailored to meet the educational needs of its residents.

Participants had the opportunity to explore the library’s resources and discuss future plans for its expansion.
