Observer inspects preparations for Lok Sabha Elections

General Observer for 1-Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency( Kargil), Harikesh Meena (IAS) visited EVM/VVPAT Warehouse at Kurbathang, Kargil to inspect the preparations for Lok Sabha Elections-2024 on May 3.

Deputy Commissioner Kargil/District Election Officer, Shrikant Suse and SSP Kargil Shreeram R accompanied the General Observer.

The General Observer took assessment of security arrangements, CCTV surveillance etc. DEO and SSP briefed General Observer regarding detailed security measures taken as per norms of Election Commission of India.

Detailed review done regarding preparations for commissioning of EVMs, Dispatch and collection of election material.

Dy DEO Kargil, DIO NIC, Ex EN R and B, ARTO and Election Naib Tehsildar were also present.
